NFL Hall of Fame Nomination time

Well sports fans, it’s that time of year, again. It’s time for the nominations to the NFL Hall of Fame. It’s time to wonder when and if one of the greatest Wide Receivers to ever lace up cleats will get his shot.  I know this has nothing to do with Alabama football, but it is football and it needs to be addressed.

Who is that neglected Wide Receiver? It is none other than Cris Carter. Now, I am not a Minnesota Vikings fan. I never cared much for the team. But that doesn’t diminish the fact that a great injustice has been committed over the last 4 years. Yes, an injustice! Cris Carter has been overlooked for 4 years.

When he was first nominated, he was nominated along with Michael “Crackhead” Irvin. Well, you can imagine who got in and who didn’t. But why? Was it because Irvin was a better WR? No, Irvin ranks in the high 20’s to low 30’s in ALL WR categories. Cris Carter is in the top 5 in all WR categories. So it must have been Super Bowl rings that did it. Irvin has 3 and Carter has 0.

Well, he gets another chance this year. And I think his chances look good. If you read this Bleacher Report article, you may even agree with me. Good Luck Cris Carter, you deserve it! http://ping.fm/J23E7
