Heisman Voters - Why

Why do the Heisman voters love Andrew Luck so much? It's hard to comprehend or even fathom when you look at the weak/soft schedule that Stanford played. It's extremely weak when you look at what say, LSU, Alabama and even Baylor did this season.

Baylor took on 5 ranked teams. 5 Ranked Teams! Granted, Baylor lost to 2 ranked and 1 unranked team, but dang! They played 5 ranked teams! How many did Stanford play against? Um, 3 and 2 of those were ranked 20+. That doesn't sound like much of a match up to me. I'm just sayin'.

As for Alabama and LSU, what can you say? Honey Badger and Trent Richardson are the best at what they do. 'Nuff said. I hope the Heisman voters get it right and either pick:

Robert Griffin III
Trent Richardson
Honey Badger

Andrew Luck shouldn't even be allowed in the same dressing room as these players. Can anyone else smell the bias?
Well - the Heisman voters did get it right when they picked RGIII.  But why were the voters in the Southern region so high on RGIII instead of Trent Richardson?  It's obvious why the voters out West had Luck at #1.  It's pure bias towards PAC 12 players and a negative bias against the SEC.  But why do the sports writers out West dislike the SEC?  Is it jealousy?  Does anyone else notice it but me?  There is a distinct bias AGAINST the SEC and a distinct bias TOWARDS teams such as:  USC, Stanford, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.  Ok, not so much on Penn State now, but in the past it was terrible!

I'm looking forward to getting tickets for the Alamo Bowl this year so I can see my 2nd Heisman winner play in a bowl game.  The first was Archie Griffin back in 1976, January in the Japan Bowl.  This year would be RGIII in the Alamo Bowl.   I am hoping my Sergeant Major (CSM) can get the tickets for free.  I love free!  Congratulations to RGIII and Baylor Nation.  Job well done!

Roll Tide!
